And every year for the last 5 years, Jay and his buddy Nate hunker down on the hot streets of Denver to turn out some amazing artwork. Its such a fun weekend to watch all these different artists come out and put down some beautiful and surprising chalk art.

Usually we take Friday off as well, to give us a nice loooooonnng weekend. This year, we weren't able to do it since I started a new job and didn't have the time to take yet.
But, we went anyway. We hadn't made reservations anywhere, but figured we'd find something! And we did. Too fast! Almost a month ago I was able to get in some serious (awesome) girl time with my bestie-head bitch-confidant-couldn't live without her - Claire!!!! We hashtagged our time together as #BestiesTakeTheBayArea and it was fantastic! It was not nearly long enough, but I am glad we had the time. A lot has been happening. Some good, some bad. But let me see if I can recap a bit.
First, my beautiful friend Charlie turned 21! (Hush, I know it makes me seem old). I planned a night out with a group of really fun dance ladies and Charlie. Unfortunately, Charlie was fighting an epic cold bug, so it wasn't the craziest night ever. BUT... memilyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08520617146248947180noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5076907245542021549.post-69663392101988211432016-02-17T08:53:00.001-07:002016-02-17T08:53:19.146-07:00The Superbowl happened...and Denver won! If you haven't been paying attention :) I am a hardcore Bears fan (Chicago girl, what can I say?) but I've lived in Denver long enough to root for the Broncos when they play. That...and my hubby would be so sad if I cheered against them.
On Superbowl Sunday, I worked at my second job in the morning. And then... a bunch of people from there got together memilyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08520617146248947180noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5076907245542021549.post-83118440448417961882016-01-30T07:23:00.001-07:002016-01-30T07:24:03.541-07:00January Birthdays!
To start, my birthday is in January! Hooray!! So... this year Jay and I got away for the weekend. We went up to Glenwood Springs for some hot springs (lovely) and snowshoeing! It was a beautiful weekend in the mountains and I couldn't have asked for a better way to celebrate another year.

Which is typically a bad time to get out and do much, as it is the middle of winter!! However, we are lucky enough to live in a state that celebrates winter because you're able to still get outside and enjoy the sunshine, the snow, the weather and everything else!!
Jay and I are trying to take full advantage of this by heading outside as often as possible. But a quick update about new years! Actually, its really because I am trying to be better about posting (again) and we've done a lot in the last few weeks.
Anyway... I worked at my second job (restaurant) on New Year's Eve. It was crazy, busy and went super fast. I didn't really mind! It took the stress out of planning something. He'd been traveling SO much, that his bosses agreed to let him extend that trip a few extra days, keep the hotel and rental car and have me come and join him! Although we didn't really plan what we were doing (or wearing) until just a few days before. Regardless, it was a blast!!! Jay and I went as Paul Bunyan and Babe the Blue Ox. It only required an ax and horns! Yes, really. I own that much blue already. A quick peek at our night:

I can't believe its November already. So, let's catch up a bit, shall we?
Let's see... Jay and I celebrated our 1 year wedding anniversary! Its hard to believe that its been a year already, and yet... it seems longer at the same time. Crazy.
